It was important to us to develop Regulators that offer excellent performance at a reasonable price.

Our Regulators can be operated not only with HPA Bottles, but optionally also with commercially available 425 g / 600 ml CO2 cylinders. These are known from sparkling water devices such as "SodaStream, SodaNature, Soda Maxx etc." and can be purchased and exchanged at your local retailer and online. This means that you do not necessarily need an HPA Bottles or a compressor.

In both cases, whether HPA or CO2, the Regulators deliver a high flow rate for fast shot sequences. Please note that most electropneumatic systems on the market are not CO2-compatible compared to our Begadi HPA system. Therefore, before using CO2, check whether your HPA system is also set up for it if you are not using the Begadi HPA system

The Hurricane Regulators are characterized by an elegant and slightly angular design. The colors are kept simple so that the Hurricane does not attract unnecessary attention.
There is a pressure gauge on the Regulator itself, which displays the set pressure in bar. This pressure gauge has a fluorescent background color, which is easy to read even in poor lighting conditions.

Setting range:
The Regulators are adjusted from above with a standard 4mm hexagon wrench. It can be infinitely adjusted from 0-14 bar. The adjustment opening can be closed with a cover.
Please ensure that you do not exceed the maximum permissible pressure of your HPA system. With our Begadi HPA system, the maximum pressure is 12 bar.

Tournament lock:
When the lid is closed, our Hurricane Regulators have an integrated Tournament-Lock. Holes have been made underneath the lid for this purpose, through which a cable tie or sealing tape can be pulled, for example. This makes it easy to seal the Regulators at events and open them at the end without leaving any residue.

Coupling:
A US Foster QD connection with a G 1/8 inch thread is pre-assembled on the Regulators.

Pressure relief valve:
Opposite the hose connection is a pressure relief valve, which automatically releases air if the pressure becomes too high.

Bottles connections:
The Hurricane has a direct thread for HPA Bottles. To use the CO2 cylinder, the enclosed adapter is simply screwed in at the bottom and secured with the locking ring to prevent accidental unscrewing. There are two grub screws on the locking ring which secure the adapter and the locking ring.
The CO2 adapter has its own pressure gauge, which always shows the current pressure in the CO2 cylinder. This makes it easy to estimate how full the cylinder still is.

CO2 cylinder with 425g (optional):
These CO2 cylinders are commonly used in various sparkling water devices and are very common in retail outlets. This means that you can simply purchase a filled CO2 cylinder "from the store around the corner or online" if required, instead of having to visit a specialist retailer who fills the HPA cylinder for you with special compressors.
The empty Bottles can then be exchanged in the store.
You can use both CO2 and HPA with our Regulators, which makes it much easier to obtain supplies.

The CO2 cylinders officially all have the same thread type, but our tests have shown that there can be minimal deviations with some (usually very inexpensive) manufacturers. We tested the adapter with CO2 cylinders from 10 different manufacturers. Two manufacturers had slight deviations in the thread. The remaining 8 Bottles fitted without any problems. We recommend choosing Bottles from larger, well-known manufacturers, where the tolerances in the thread area are also the smallest (i.e. the manufacturing quality is the best).

If your HPA engine is not CO2 compatible, you can also use the Regulators with HPA/compressed air only without any problems.
Our Begadi HPA system is designed for use with HPA and CO2.

Cool down effect when using CO2 - negligible in normal operation:
Brief theory: CO2, like other propellants used in airsoft, can assume two states of aggregation: liquid and gaseous. In the gas container, the gas is predominantly liquid at the current pressure. This means that more gas fits inside and the pressure release is more even. During the shot, a certain amount of gas is removed from the pressure vessel. This causes the pressure in the container to drop briefly and some of the liquid gas evaporates. During this vaporization process, energy is absorbed by the molecules in the form of heat, resulting in cooling. That is, roughly speaking, the physics behind it. In practice, this means that the more shots are fired in a SHORT (!) period of time, the more liquid gas is converted and causes cooling. In a "normal" game scenario, however, we rarely extract so much gas at once, which is why this effect can be neglected in a "normal" game scenario. In tests, it took several magazines in continuous firing for the cool down to have an effect.

Note on use in CO2 operation (O-rings / seals):
Please only mount the Regulators on the CO2 Bottles during playing operation and separate the two from each other again after playing operation.
Technical background: For physical reasons, the relevant seal in the Regulator expands with increasing connection time under CO2 pressure operation and contracts again after separation (similar to CO2 GBB magazines, which should always be stored unpressurized for this reason). If both remain connected under pressure for a longer period of time (e.g. several days), the seal is damaged and can no longer completely return to its original shape, it becomes leaky. This problem does not occur if the two are only connected for the duration of one day and then disconnected again. If damage to the seal should ever occur, we also offer these individually in our Maintenance Kits. (Article 28322002 for Taifun / Article 28422002 for Hurricane)

Installation:
When using with both HPA and CO2, make sure that all threads are screwed tight and the locking ring is well seated.
The Regulators must be screwed onto the Bottles with some force, as the pressure must be overcome.
If the Regulators are not screwed onto the Bottles far enough, they will not open enough. This leads to a low flow rate.

Maintenance:
As with all our products, we attach great importance to durability.
It is quite normal for a seal to wear out a little with very high pressures and numerous shots.
Accordingly, we offer you a Maintenance Kit for future maintenance. This contains all the necessary seals.
