With our Begadi PRO Piston we offer our customers a robust and durable piston for (S)AEGs.
The body is made of a reinforced technopolymer with fiber content, this provides maximum durability and a good coefficient of friction.
The dimensions were designed to ensure maximum compatibility with different gearboxes and gears. So the Begadi PRO REGULAR Piston can be used with many (S)AEGs which accept a standard piston.
If you have a Gearbox Shell and/or Gears which are slightly different, we recommend to use the "REDUX" Piston, where the rack is 0.50mm higher than on standard Pistons. All dimensions can be found on our pictures in the store.
The rack offers 14.5 teeth, which makes it possible to adapt the AOE to many weapons. This is possible for example withourBegadi PRO V2 / V3 CNC CylinderheadorBegadi PRO CNC Cylinderhead (G36, UST45, S77).
The steel has a hardness of HRC 52 and has been oxidized black (corrosion protection). Thus, it offers a balanced degree of hardness, which is suitable for all AEG springs. Due to the pressing of the teeth it is not necessary to glue them.
We recommend to lubricate the teeth and running surfaces:ProTech silicone oil or silicone grease, do not use ceramic lubricant here.

Number of teeth:
This piston does not have 16 teeth compared to a full one but 14.5 teeth, the rearmost "catch tooth" is always counted!
Tread:
The side guide of the piston has a minimum width of 2.10mm and is therefore compatible with the most common gearboxes. However, there are a few exceptions where the gearbox manufacturer has made the guide of the gearbox 2.2 - 2.3mm wide. If this is the case with your gearbox, the piston can easily jam in the rear area and thus generate less energy. One solution is to use the "REDUX" version of the piston.
