Return of batteries and accumulators

The Battery Act (BattG) regulates the marketing, return and environmentally sound disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries

You must observe the following:
Disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be made through the residual waste. Consumers legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. Owners of old equipment must remove old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old equipment before returning them to a return point. If the waste equipment is handed over to public waste management authorities and separated from other waste equipment there for the purpose of reuse, this is no longer applicable

Disposal of used batteries and rechargeable batteries:
These must be handed in at so-called recycling yards or collection points of the GRS (Stiftung Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien). You can return batteries and accumulators free of charge wherever comparable products are sold - regardless of where they were purchased and regardless of brand and type.
If you remove the plugs of the AS batteries, please tape the ends before handing them in so that no short circuits can occur.

Disposal of used batteries and accumulators:
