The Allemans knife is, unlike our first fieldcraft knife, created 100 % as our original design. Over 18 months of development and five sampling-and-trial runs passed, until the knife became what it is!
Our goal was a knife, that is as universally usable, while yielding to as-less compromises as possiple , nor crushing the user with a plethora of un-needed features. Knife, handle shape and blade geometry has changed several times and been re-designed based on the results of practical experiences.
The knife is made as a full-tang knife, with screwed-on G10 handle scales. The arounded, raised edge also allows working with the blade within direct grip. Before the edge, we added a single, short and round, blade. This is ideal for making kindling, debarking and carving , but can also be used with the fire steel. The blade is made of 440C steel and sports either a flat grind with smooth edge ( for outdoor ) or a hollow-ground edge with partly serrations ( tactical use) and is hardened to 58HC.
In this version, the cutting is performed in flat grind, with smooth edge, which facilitates cutting through thick materials. This version, with its polished blade is designed and dedicated for outdoor, hunting and camping.
Included is the knife is a Kydex sheath with both a steel spring clip and nylon belt loop, both screw-on type . You have the choice of what you want to mount! The knife is supplied with all necessary tools for disassembly. For the belt loop a Phillips screwdriver is also required. We also bundle the knife with a piece of Paracord, for your own customization!
