The Parajumper helmet from the Basics series is an inexpensive replica that does not have to hide from the more expensive alternative in terms of equipment and appearance. We explain the differences in the description. The very favorable price was not achieved by savings in quality and workmanship, but simply by less mass and small adjustments. The helmet shell is significantly thinner than the more expensive FAST version, but still robust and durable.
The pre-formed pads, removable by Velcro as in the prototype, are unfortunately not adjustable in size, but sewn in one piece and filled with padding, but can be completely redistributed, arranged and moved. Of course, other Velcro pads can be inserted into the helmet! The helmet comes with 8 small pads and one large pad for the head area. These pads are washable and completely replaceable! From the factory the helmet fits head sizes from 58 to 62, further adjustments can be achieved by omitting pads, but can not be guaranteed
The helmet is closed with an H-Type strap system that can be completely adjusted to the head. The faux leather neck pad is comfortably padded with foam and soft fabric, the chin area is lined with the same fabric to prevent chafing! The harness system is made of soft polyester webbing, fully adjustable and equipped with easily adjustable buckles.
Like the prototype, the helmet comes with extensive accessories for the two accessory rails, immediately eye-catching is the Rhino / M88 NVG Mount with removable adapter plate to which M88 compatible accessories can be mounted. The adapter plate can be removed with a handle and is of course included!
Also included are two rail adapters for lamps, lighting, batteries and other accessories that can be clicked directly into the rails
Of course, adapters for goggles may not be missing,
here the helmet offers 3 different options to secure goggles:
- Option 1 is a classic bungee cord, which can also be used to fix night vision optics / dummies
- Option 2 consists of a 20mm Goggle Swivel, removable, mounted in the bend of the rail
- Option 3 is a Goggle Swivel Kit, which can be clipped directly into both rails and can be fixed in any position! For this option we supply adapters for 20mm and 30mm goggle webbing with, so you have the right adapter for each goggle at hand!
On the helmet are large Velcro areas glued to patches, lamps and accessories can attach / secure.
The helmet is an inexpensive and robust alternative, which makes little sacrifice in the processing, but is still very inexpensive. Who prefers more mass and the stronger construction, will be more satisfied with the Begadi FAST helmet. Those who don't have a problem with the slightly thinner plastic will find the Parajumper a reliable companion for the field!
This helmet is made of plastic, it has no ballistic or technical protection function!
